If you ever study I and II Timothy, you will find references to Paul being the Chief of the sinners yet God’s grace delivered him out of sin to salvation and further into the ministry of the Gospel itself. Paul is very important to us today because he was the first Apostle/disciple that did not meet Jesus before the resurrection. Remember Paul had the experience on the road to Damascus of being confronted and blinded for a time. Paul “the least of these” was once a Pharisee who was training to be a Rabbi got persecuted Christians who got his pound of flesh even to the extent that he in his ignorance thinking he was helping God as a Jew by murdering Christians or on other words killing those who chose to follow the Truth of Jesus Christ and now Paul who was yes radically saved from sin was steadfast and faithful to the Gospel and his Lord. Should we all strive to be more like Paul who fought the good fight! Paul’s endurance through trial and afflictions he gladly suffered because he knew God’s grace and love.
